Hiring the Halls

There are currently 35 village halls in Teesdale that are members of Teesdale Village Halls Consortium. The halls offer excellent facilities situated in beautiful countryside locations that are suitable for business, private or social use. They offer a variety of services and facilities to users and as each hall is unique the most suitable hall can be chosen to meet your requirements.

For Business Use

Teesdale's close proximity to the major towns and cities of the North East, and to the surrounding rural area, make the village halls an ideal choice for a work related day away from the office and as meeting and training venues. They have all the facilities you need to hold your business event ranging from seating and tables to catering provision.  As conference or meeting venues, they offer excellent value for money.
Conference equipment is held by Teesdale Village Halls Consortium including 2 sets of display/exhibition boards, a flipchart, a foldaway OHP, a digital projector, trolley and screen, an LCD TV screen and a radio microphone and active speakers. This can be lent out to any of the halls for any event.

The halls are ideal venues for social events such as parties, wedding receptions, community functions, sales and fairs, coffee mornings, rehearsals and social evenings. Three halls: Scarth Hall in Staindrop, Mickleton and Butterknowle have fully licensed bars and many of the other halls have bar facilities for which licences can be applied for. Stages in most of the halls make them ideal for stage productions, concerts and parties. The halls welcome new user groups such as sports classes, education classes, drama arts and craft groups, regular groups such as WI and so on.

The halls have experience in holding all types of events and are versatile in the events they can be used for. They charge competitive prices and offer great value for money, providing everything you will need to have an enjoyable day or night!
