The Village
Evenwood is an old mining village situated between Barnard Castle and Bishop Auckland. Evenwood is situated in the Gaunless Valley which is renowned for its industrial heritage and its interesting landscape features and walks. Businesses have been attracted to Evenwood through the Randolph Industrial Estate.

The Hall

Evenwood and Ramshaw Community Centre was formerly the National School. It was opened in 1865 on a site given by John Bowes.

Evenwood and Ramshaw Community Centre has been totally refurbished through Sure Start funding and was reopened as the Evenwood Randolph Centre incorporating a Sure Start Children’s Centre in 2005.

The Evenwood Randolph Centre offers a variety of activities for children, young people and adults to ensure everyone in the community can access and enjoy the centre.

ACTIVITIES FOR 0/5 YEARS
A range of sessions are available for families with children aged 0- 5yrs activities including Stay and Play, Early Days, Cook a Story are delivered by Sure Start staff. For more information please contact the hall on 01388 830920.

ACTIVITIES FOR 8 - 13 YEARS
The hall offers sessions for young people including a youth group, arts and crafts, cooking and outdoor activities for more information please contact Mary on 01833 833715.

ACTIVITIES FOR OVER 55'S
A number of activities are available for adults aged 55+ these include light lunches, afternoon teas and bingo for more information on theses activities please contact Mary on 01833 833715.

COMMUNITY OUTINGS
A range of community outings take place for all ages groups, previous trips include Bowness, Beatrix Potter, Hamsterley Forest, Bowes Museum. These outings are fun and not to be missed. Information for outings will be publicised in the hall and the local community throughout the year.

Facilities: The modern kitchen facilities include fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher and cooker. There is a stage and video conferencing facilities. There are also toilet facilities accessible to all.

Parking: There is a designated car park with ample parking spaces plus two marked accessible parking spaces.

Access: There is access for all into the hall. An hearing induction loop is in place.
